Return Policy
We understand sometimes things change. Should you need to return a textbook, please remember the following:
Textbook information is subject to change due to a variety of factors including course cancellations or new instructors. UMKC Health Sciences Bookstore provides the most up to date information that we have about your textbooks. If UMKC Health Sciences Bookstore sells you the wrong textbook, we will refund that book or exchange for the correct edition upon presentation of your receipt. We cannot, however, guarantee books purchased by customers from other sources.
Course Material Provisions
For regular classes in the Fall and Winter Terms, we extend our usual grace period to accommodate course material returns within the first two weeks following the first official day of classes (returned shipments would need to be postmarked by that date). Course materials purchased for most Summer Terms can be returned with the first week following the first official day of classes.
Conditions
- Proof of purchase required for all returns (for example, your register receipt or packing slip for a shipment).
- Items must be returned in original, saleable condition (New books must be unmarked, with no highlighting or other damage. If a new book has been marked, sometimes we can arrange to refund a used price.)
- Computer software packages must be unopened to receive refund.
- UMKC Media materials, study aids, and unsealed software, CD-ROMs, DVDs, access codes and tapes are non-returnable.
Refunds will be issued based on the original form of payment. For Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, we can only credit the card used for the original purchase. Allow 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement.
Exchanges:Exchanges will only be made on identical merchandise when the returnable item meets the guidelines above.
Prices:All prices are subject to change without notice. We make every effort to post the most current prices on our website. However, we are not responsible for inadvertent input errors or delays in reporting price changes.
